Snowman was a friend and relative of Madhusudan (Clara's father). He had seven sisters, of which six got widowed early. Some of the sisters were issueless, and some had children.
Snowman took care of his widowed sisters and brought up his nephews and nieces as their own, in his own house. He brought up the widows and orphans in his family.
He had his own children as well.
And, they lived happily ever after!
