'Second sham wife' sets self ablaze after tiff with husband's first wife
Ahmedabad: A 19-year-old woman, who married a man 10 years older than her a year ago, died after she immolated herself following an argument with her husband's first wife, on Tuesday morning. The Isanpur police station officials have registered an accidental death and started investigating into the case.

Isanpur police station officials said Saripa Garasia, 19, a native of Uttar Pradesh, fled with Raman Garasia, a native of Rajasthan, working as truck driver for a company in Isanpur, a year ago and they started living at GMT lines in Isanpur.

"On Monday, Raman's first wife came to Ahmedabad to visit him. She had settled in Rajasthan with the couple's two children. There was an argument between the two women. Raman did not dare intervene. Matters took an ugly turn when Saripa locked herself in a room and set herself on fire. She was rescued by family members and rushed to LG Hospital," said an Isanpur police station official.

However, Saripa couldn't be saved as she bore 80 per cent burns. She died at 4 pm on Tuesday.
